Polymer clay jewelry are very easy to care for and can last a very very long time as they are sturdy & durable. But thin and small items can be fragile and easily breaks over time.
Cleaning them is pretty easy actually, just wipe them with clean dry cloths. Simple.
If you think that your polymer clay jewelry kind of losing their shine, simply buff them with polymer lint-free cloth . They'll be shining in no time : )
Here are a few things that can make your Polymer Clay jewelry last forever..well at least for few years : )
1. If not worn, please DO NOT leave it somewhere where it can be exposed to direct sunlight. This will
make them lose their shine and will make the color fade.
2. Don't exposed it to any chemicals i.e aerosol sprays, perfumes, or chlorinated water onto the items,
as they may discolor your jewelry. Same goes with liquid jewelry cleaners. they are not meant for
polymer clay.
Okay, If your pieces are accompanied by metal components, they may tarnish over time. Special care must be taken when cleaning those items. Even Sterling silver will tarnish eventually if not taken care of properly. Just don't do the above.
Keep your jewelry in a jewelry box or zipper jewelry bag if you have one. This will prevent the tarnish from progressing. And we all know that tarnish progresses especially quickly in humidity.
Thanks for reading & be safe : )
